Fruit raita is the 3rd raita recipe of this season after sabudana and cucumber raita, and vegetable raita. Raita being a cooling side dish, is a perfect accompaniment for spicy Indian food. It is especially beneficial if eaten during summer as it’s good to have more of raw fruits, vegetables and curd in hot weather. However, we make this raita using only fruits and not vegetables. And trust me you, it tastes so yummy that, it can be eaten just like that as a mid-meal snack.
This fruit based raita is pretty filling and can be eaten as a non-fattening snack on a vrat / fasting day. Fruits like apple, banana, black grapes, orange along with spices such as himalayan black salt, cumin seeds powder, black pepper powder mixed in curd and milk is a super awesome combination. It also wouldn’t be a bad idea to serve this raita as a dessert after the meal.
