Tangy jal jeera can be enjoyed in any weather but it's particularly beneficial in summer. This slushie recipe shows how to make it as an icy drink.

  • 1 tbsp jal jeera masala powder
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice half a lemon
  • salt to taste
  • Approx 2 and half cup ice cubes


  • Mix jal jeera masala, lemon juice, and salt in one bowl.
  • Put ice cubes in a mixer, and add the jal jeera mixture.
  • Blend till ice is crushed.
  • Transfer to a glass and serve immediately.


Avoid serving slushies in plastic cups as plastic leaches harmful chemicals when heated or frozen.
